A Little Bit About Myself

I grew up on Vancouver Island, and came to Portland in 1985 to attend school at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. I graduated in 1989 with BFA in Painting. Since 1990 to date, I have been working for Ann Sacks tile and Stone. In 1997 I became General Supervisor for the hand-crafted ceramic tile division.

Wedlake Digital Studio was started in the early spring of 2005 as a much desired creative outlet. I continue to work professionally in both Ceramics and Photography. My own photography focuses on industrial spaces, wall art, found objects, and Architecture.

I started taking photographs when I was 6 years old, when my father gave me a Kodak Instamatic 126. As I grew older, i was "upgraded" to more demanding cameras, until I eventually settled on Nikon equipment (like my dad and step-dad). I currently manage my image catalogue and editing thorugh Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

My workflow is explained in further detail on my blog.
